Latest Attendance Certificates
Here are four of our awesome Members with their recently awarded Bronze and Silver Certificates
This year’s Christmas Party went with a swing! The WI’s ladies’ group “Singing for Fun” entertained us with singing and dancing, introduced and accompanied by Hilary and her band of musicians. The Christmas Alphabet was much enjoyed as was the lovely solo “Mary did you Know”? and the hilarious “Turkey Song”! Then we were wowed by Annette and Linda performing their Charleston and we all joined in the dancing with “Rock Around the Clock” and “The Twist” – E4M members love to dance! After the entertainment, tea was served by our wonderful team of Volunteers, to whom we gave a vote of thanks and some gifts. Millie, Lec and Joyce all have Birthdays over the Christmas period, so we gathered them together and sang Happy Birthday. This year the Sparkliest Lady prize went to Georgina and David retained his Sparkliest Man title from last year! A special mention to Gay, who sold Raffle tickets wearing her very festive specs and antlers!
Christmas Lunch at the Brendon Arms
Eighty-six of us descended on the Brendon Arms for a delicious Christmas Lunch…. Delicious food, great service and much laughter and companionship! Truly, the Brendon did us proud, helped by Ali and Heather’s careful planning. The photos below prove the good time we had!

E4M receives cheque from Bude Carnival Committee
E4M always takes part in Bude Carnival by having a stand in the Castle Grounds. We were delighted to hear that we had been awarded a cheque for £100 from Bude Carnival Committee. So Heather, Jo and Alison went to Bude Football Club recently to receive our cheque from the Mayor, Cllr Bob Willingham and Margaret Frost of Bude Carnival Committee. Several other local charities and volunteer groups also received cheques and it was interesting to hear about their work too.
